Watson Coleman Offers 12th District Veterans Help with VA Claims at Friday Clinic
FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE:
Washington, DC (June 7, 2016) ? On Friday June 10, the Office of Congresswoman Bonnie Watson Coleman (NJ-12) will partner with the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs to host a Claims Clinic for veterans, dependents, and survivors residing in New Jersey’s 12th District, giving attendees direct access to VA representatives who can assist them with benefits questions, filing a disability claim, and more.
“Helping my constituents get the services they need from the federal government is one of my most important duties as a Member of Congress, and I take that responsibility very seriously,” said Watson Coleman. “Bringing the VA Newark Regional Benefits Office directly to my district will offer access that most don’t normally get to those that deserve the very best care – our veterans and their families.”
At the Clinic, 12th District residents can:
- Get information about VA benefits and entitlements;
- Submit a claim for benefits;
- Submit evidence in support of a new or existing claim;
- Receive information on the status of a pending VA claim;
- Or speak to a claims processor or rating specialist.
