Watson Coleman Hosts Claims Clinics for Veterans

For Immediate Release:

Washington, DC (August 26, 2016) — On Thursday August 25, Congresswoman Bonnie Watson Coleman opened her Ewing, NJ office to Veterans and families seeking one-on-one assistance with VA claims, in partnership with the Veterans Administration Newark Regional Benefits Office.  VA representatives were on hand to assist with benefits and compensation questions, filing disability claims, or submitting evidence in support of a new or existing claim.  In all, 16 veterans took advantage of the clinic.

“Veterans have made countless sacrifices to serve our nation.  It’s the least we can do, and one of my most important duties as a Member of Congress, to serve them in return, ensuring that they get the help, support, and benefits that they have earned,” said Congresswoman Watson Coleman.  “I’m thrilled with the outcome of the clinic, and grateful for the assistance of the Newark Regional Benefits office.  I look forward to bringing this level of individualized assistance to more veterans across the 12th District.”

Congresswoman Watson Coleman will host two additional events for veterans in the near future: an additional claims clinic at the Monroe Senior Center on September 7th, and a Veterans Town Hall in East Brunswick on October 18th.  Additional details will be announced as they become available.
