Watson Coleman Announces Tele-Townhall on COVID Vaccine Safety and Distribution
Washington, DC (February, 22nd 2021) - U.S. Representative Bonnie Watson Coleman (NJ-12) announced that she will host a tele-townhall this Thursday February 25th, 2021 at 6:30pm. The townhall, featuring state officials and local, will offer constituents the chance to raise concerns about the safety of both vaccines currently available, and provide an opportunity for frank discussion about misconceptions associated with it in an effort to increase trust, particularly among communities that have been hit hardest by the virus and are least likely seek out vaccination. Watson Coleman received the first dose of the vaccine in September, which likely contributed to the minimal symptoms she experienced when she contracted COVID-19 in January.
“As we prepare to turn the next corner on the COVID-19 pandemic, it is of the utmost importance those who are able to get vaccinated be open to it, and sign up as soon as they are eligible,” said Congresswoman Watson Coleman. “I want my constituents to know that COVID-19 vaccinations are safe, and they are critical to reopening New Jersey and getting back to normal life.”
