Rep. Watson Coleman Hosts Tele-Town Hall Amid Hostile Government Takeover by Unelected Billionaire

Tonight, Rep. Bonnie Watson Coleman (NJ-12) held a Tele-Town Hall with constituents from New Jersey’s 12th District to address concerns over unelected billionaire Elon Musk’s hostile government takeover. More than 7,500 people participated in the Tele-Town Hall.

During the Tele-Town Hall, Rep. Watson Coleman answered questions on Elon Musk’s infiltration of the Treasury Department, Trump Administration plans to dismantle the Department of Education, impacts of federal spending freezes, the future of Medicare and Medicaid, the Trump Administration’s plan for America to occupy Gaza, abortion care, mass deportations, and other issues raised by constituents.

“My constituents are understandably outraged at the ongoing hostile government takeover by an unelected billionaire who receives billions of dollars in government contracts,” said Rep. Watson Coleman. “It was great to hear from them; to speak to their concerns directly, and have a dialogue about what we all can do to fight back against this illegal powergrab.”

Over the past two weeks, Rep. Watson Coleman’s office has received thousands of calls from concerned constituents up in arms over the richest man in the world waltzing into government agencies, plugging in his laptop, and perusing the private data of hundreds of millions of Americans, without clearance or oversight.

Constituents have called with deep concerns over the future of essential services like Medicare, Medicaid, Social Security, veterans’ benefits, food safety, disaster preparedness, and much more. They are understandably outraged that an unelected billionaire with business before the government has effectively seized control of the agencies that regulate his businesses.
