Congressional App Challenge Winners
The Congressional App Challenge aims to inspire, include, and innovate efforts around stem, coding and computer science education. The Challenge is open to middle and/or high school students. Due to COVID-19 restrictions, our App Challenge winners will not be able to travel to DC to demonstrate their apps as they have in prior years. Instead, I was able to sit down with the creator of this year's winning app via Zoom The App is called Hospified. It was chosen from among 12 application submissions as the most impressive. Three students from West Windsor-Plainsboro South High School built a website that aims to bring transparency to the American healthcare system. The application obtains data through users who submit it directly to the website. The goal is to create a database for medical financial information and protect the anonymity of all contributors.
