BONNIE WATSON COLEMAN RECOGNIZES NATIONAL GUN VIOLENCE AWARENESS DAY
Today we recognize National Gun Violence Awareness Day. I wear orange today because I’m tired of the stories of tragedy at the hands of gun violence. I wear orange today because the deaths of men, women, and children of all ages who suffer the loss of family and friends at the hands of gun violence. I wear orange today because I’m outraged that after sitting in on the House Floor and standing up for millions of Americans that supported commonsense legislative action to help prevent gun violence, House Republicans has still failed to pass meaningful reform. I wear orange because it is time. Today, on Gun Violence Awareness Day, and every day after we need action.
