Reps Watson Coleman and Kim Host Constituent Services Fair
Today, Congresswoman Bonnie Watson Coleman (NJ-12) and Congressman Andy Kim (NJ-03) hosted a Constituent Services Fair at the Mercer County Office Park in Ewing, New Jersey. Representatives from 42 agencies and local elected officials provided assistance to over 100 constituents from the Mercer County area. This is the fourth Constituent Services Fair held by Congresswoman Watson Coleman in 2023.
“One of my greatest responsibilities as a Member of Congress is to aid my constituents as they navigate the sometimes-cumbersome network of services,” said Watson Coleman. “Unfortunately, many constituents don’t know that these services are available to them or cannot make their way to our district office. So I’ve worked with our county and local officials to bring as many resources together in one place to create a one-stop-shop for anyone seeking help.”
The Constituent Services Fair featured staff from the US Representatives as well as State Senator Shirley Turner and Assembly members Verlina Reynolds-Jackson and Anthony Verrelli and Mercer County officials including County Executive Brian Hughes and County Clerk Paula Sollami Covello.
In addition to federal agencies like the Social Security Administration and Department of Veterans Affairs, tables were set up for residents to receive assistance from local colleges and universities, senior services, utilities (PSE&G), and several non-profits including Big Brothers Big Sisters, ISLES, Inc., United Way of Greater Mercer County, and Meals on Wheels.
Previous Constituent Services Fairs have been held in Montgomery, Plainfield, and Trenton. Future Constituent Services Fairs are being planned for the fall.
