Rep. Watson Coleman Votes to Pass Fiscal Year 2026 Minibus
Bill includes funding covered by Commerce, Justice, and Science; Energy and Water; and Interior and Environment subcommittees.
Today, Congresswoman Bonnie Watson Coleman (NJ-12), New Jersey’s sole member of the Appropriations Committee, voted for the FY26 Minibus covering Commerce, Justice, and Science (CJS); Energy and Water; and Interior and Environment subcommittees.
The Minibus includes funding increases to Violence Against Women Act grants, strong funding for scientific and technological research, and increases to the Legal Services Corporation (LSC) - a signature priority of the Congresswoman’s work in the Appropriations Committee.
“Of course this funding bill does not include everything I would have liked to see but it is a vast improvement over where we were last year,” said Watson Coleman. “It also takes us out of the destructive cycle of continuing resolutions, places guardrails on the Administration’s spending, and reasserts Congress’s obligation to fund the government through regular order.”
The minibus also includes funding for 4 important projects in the 12th District:
-
$715,000 renewal of the annual funding for the Delaware River Basin Commission
-
$1,092,000 toward Municipal Water Infrastructure Improvements for the Borough of Rocky Hill
-
$231,000 to replace radios for law enforcement officials in the Borough of Manville
-
$675,000 to improve technological support for the New Jersey Internet Crimes Against Children Task Force.
