Rep. Watson Coleman Secures $1,000,000 in Federal Funding for Franklin Township Youth Center
Today, Congresswoman Bonnie Watson Coleman (NJ-12) attended the grand opening of the new Franklin Township Youth Center. As part of the fiscal year 2022 federal government funding bill, the Congresswoman secured $1,000,000 to help complete construction of the Youth Center.
“I serve on the House Appropriations Committee, which means I play a part in determining where and how the federal government spends its money,” said Watson Coleman. “As the only Appropriations Committee member from New Jersey, I want to make sure that New Jerseyans’ federal tax dollars come right back here to their home state. I’m proud to say that this year, I delivered more than $7 million for projects across the 12th District, including the Franklin Township Youth Center.”
“As a Member of Congress, I’m committed to building a better future for our nation, and that means investing in youth development programs,” Watson Coleman continued. “The Franklin Township Youth Center will develop a new generation of leaders right here in the 12th District. I’m thrilled to see federal community project funding being put to such great use.”
The construction of the Youth Center is one of ten community projects in New Jersey’s 12th Congressional District to receive federal funding in fiscal year 2022. These projects include a medical training lab, a public art installation, infrastructure restoration, and more.
